Joel currently serves as a Manager in the Dallas, TX office for Protiviti, a global business consulting firm, as part of their Technology Consulting, Security & Privacy practice. With over a decade in Information Technology and Security experience, his proficiency spans threat detection and analysis, secure operations development, service delivery, and process enhancement. Joel has worked extensively with various security technology partners across diverse sectors such as Finance, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Technology and Government and taken on multifaceted roles, leading global security groups of varying scales in detecting and eliminating security threats.

Beyond his professional interests, Joel is passionate about collecting, restoring, and delving into classic computer systems, software, and other vintage technologies. Computers have been instrumental in shaping Joel's personal and professional life. Inspired by his own journey, he aims to share these technological relics with people of all ages, hoping they ignite the same enthusiasm in others as they did for him. Growing up during the dot-com boom, Joel witnessed firsthand the transformative power of computers, the internet, and rapid technological advancements.
